Prager Metis names new CEO

Top 100 Firm Prager Metis has named Lori Roth as its CEO, effective immediately.

In addition, the firm has named Stuart Mayer chief operating officer of the firm.

Roth started her career in accounting in 1984 and joined Metis Group, a predecessor firm of Prager Metis, in 1996. Immediately prior to being named CEO, she served as co-managing partner of the firm with Glenn Friedman, a role she took on in 2021.

“I’m honored to step into this role and build on the strong foundation we’ve created together,” Roth said in a statement. “Our success has always come from our team and our commitment to delivering exceptional value to clients. I’m excited to lead Prager Metis into our next phase of growth.”

Roth will oversee the firm’s growth strategy and initiatives. Prager Metis ranked No. 60 on Accounting Today‘s 2025 list of the Top 100 Firms, with $128.92 million in revenues, close to 80 partners and almost 600 employees.

Mayer previously served as Northeast regional managing partner; he joined Prager Metis in 2016 when his then-firm, Mayer CPAs, merged with the Top 100 Firm.
